The glimpse can be sensed from a single figure – there are approximate four million real estate agents and brokers only in the US. Now, who are these real agents? Any individual or corporation who gets engaged in the transferring process of any real estate is called a real estate agent. As every real estate transfer involves two parties in the process namely buyer and the seller, the agents are also primarily categorized in two types namely buyers’ agent and sellers’ agent. There is a third type of agent in real estate also, called the dual agent. As the name suggests the buyers’ agent is supposed to look after the buyers’ interest and the sellers’ agent is for sellers’ interest. The dual agent helps both and they are called the 50/50 dealmakers. As the world has witnessed an unimaginable growth in the real estate segment, a lot of intruders with malicious minds have come forward. At the initial stage the real estate segment had been dominated by the sellers’ agents, but it has now changed in the recent past. EBAs have been formed to safeguard the buyers’ interest exclusively and certificates are awarded as ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) to people, who are recognized EBAs. Moreover every agent has to sign a contract with the original seller or buyer before any progress! So, what are you waiting for? Even the government is keen to safeguard your interest! |
