The necessity of life
God breathed life into Adam and Eve having already created the Garden of Eden with all beautiful trees bearing fruits and flowers to gift a wonderful ambience for them to live in. Adam and Eve might have eaten the fruit of the tree of knowledge out of curiosity but they didn’t carry the tension of having to look for appropriate real estate for their shelter as there were plenty of rocks, mountains and caves to protect them from scorching heat and thundershowers. As the ratio between the space on the earth and its inhabitants had been really high, initially people and even the other inhabitants could coexist most comfortably. The irresistible desire of human beings with an indirect support from Al Mighty, their growth multiplied in geometric progression.
And the ratio of empty space and the inhabitants started coming down. The tree of knowledge had also supplied adequate intelligence to human beings to find its own comfort. The ‘sin’ had been transmitted and magnified with the generations and people started feeling insecure and they had become desperate for a shelter which not only gives comfort but also provides security. The concept of real estate had arisen at that point of time.
History has witnessed the reformation and refinements in housing from the stages of trees, woods, and rocks to modern buildings with cement, pipes and bricks. The basic fact of life remains that the people felt a strong desire to own real estate where they could find peace after returning from a hard day’s work. |
